Previously, we were able to create a manufacturing order for a quantity of 50 and then the person would be able to open the work order in Tablet View and go through each of the 50 products one by one. Create serial number, measure temperature, etc. At the end, the person had the option to close the work order which would automatically open a new work order for the next individually tracked item. This in result was creating child manufacturing orders for each individually processed quantity.

In Odoo 19, I have set up a test product with unique serial number. I have created an MO but now, I have to create all the serial numbers range at the MO level. I can also create the serial numbers range at the work order level, but it is a range, not an unique serial number.

The problem is that if in the BOM, I have one operation that has temperature measurement and speed measurement, when I create the MO for 50, in the work order, I can only measure once and close the WO for the whole batch of 50. This makes it difficult because now, those measurements are for the whole range, not for individual product.

One way that I can get around this would be to create manufacturing orders for a quantity of 1 but that means to do a manual MO for every single product in the quantity of 50. And to manually specify the serial number. This is not practical at all.
