Hi,

I am wanting to pull through some fields from a sales order to the linked manufacturing order (I am using MTO in v15).

I have tried using related fields using studio and various other methods in the forums.

The Procurement_group_id seems to be different between the SO and MO in v15 so it cannot be used for the relation. 

How can I do this? Preferably using Studio. However, I am open to other methods that are friendly for SaaS Odoo 15

Ideal behaviour example: Show the customer on the manufacturing order page. (I also want to display other custom fields)

I figured a workaround for this.

On the MO, add a M2O field linked to the sales order model.

Now there is a path to add related fields from the sales order.

With the help of Ray's previous answer I created an automated action:


This automated action sets the M2O field to the value of the source document field on the manufacturing order.

This works for our workflow as everything is custom made-to-order.

A variation of this might be needed for different workflows (make-to-stock etc)

Would this work if I wanted to add length as a decimal on the Sales Order Line list view? I've been trying but I end up with just a link to the orginal sales order.

Product Specs for example ?

Hi Samir,

I want to be able to take any field on the SO form view and display it on the MO.

For example, the customer or salesperson etc.

We also have custom fields on our SO that I want to pull through

I think it need full customization , i saw it before on odoo experience 2021
Company manfcaute a Complicated Product is Many specs and that been designed on Sales order and once salesman replenish the Sales order lines a MO order Created with that Product Specs , A
I think you need python Developer and it sounds not take too much work
