In Kiosk Mode, when checking in it says "Checked In at Invalid". It usually indicates the checked in time right? What seems to be the problem when it indicates an invalid time?

I had a same problem, I found out manual attendance has a problem with IE, check it with other browsers.

In code they are calling the check-in time directly

Checked in at <t t-esc="widget.attendance.check_in_time"/>
</h1>
So my best guess is that you have somehow saved wrong data to database(not in datetime format). Please check if you have added any 3rd party module which changes this data or check values stored in table hr_attendance.
I just inherited the def attendance_action_change(self) in hr_employee.py under hr_attendance module, but I added super(HrEmployee, self).attendance_action_change() then added my function. But my function is writing in a different model. So I don't know what is the problem.
