I've tested importing products and the import template works.  However what is the process to add serial numbers?  I thought I could have inserted a sequence and Odoo would fill out the serials based on the sequence I gave it.  For instance, I have a column, "serial_prefix_format" and for that line for instance I have 16 mugs.  So I though by filling that row of data with the value, "SN-PBS-2026021_A" Odoo would have filled out the serials sequentially using:

SN-PBS-2026021_A-1

SN-PBS-2026021_A-2

SN-PBS-2026021_A-3

etc.  But no such luck.  The product doesn't even appear on the Inventory->Products->Lots / Serial Numbers

Is there a double import process?  How do I import products that have serial numbers?  The task here is loading opening balances for inventory.  What's the process?
