My company uses Mattermost for internal chat and communication, having another chat app is very confusing to users and causes chaos of missed messages and alerts.

We're currently evaluating Odoo for limited use, Inventory etc.. we won't run our whole company on it.

I'm confused why uninstalling this would require all other modules to be uninstalled as well, it doesn't seem like a good design to require Discuss to use any module.

Many companies use Slack or other communication systems. Discuss causes company wide problems in this scenario, and would cause many companies to look for other solutions if it can't be disabled.

This is such a common problem that I see 3 or 4 different modules in the Odoo app store that do nothing but hide the Discuss feature (for version 14). It seems strange that Odoo doesn't implement this capability natively, or maybe I missed an easy way to do this in 15?
