Running 17 on .sh
We recently started listing products on eBay via the Odoo connector. Maybe not as full featured as some other platforms but very useable. Was excited to expand our business.
Just learned that the eBay connector has been deprecated in 18. Is there a third party app that can take over the data in Odoo and keep it running when the time comes to upgrade to 18?

You're right, Odoo deprecated the native eBay connector and it's gone in 18, so anyone on it needs a third-party replacement before upgrading. The good news is the migration is usually clean if you plan it.
What to look for in a replacement so your existing data keeps working:
1) It should map to your *existing* products by internal reference / SKU, so your current listings and order history don't get duplicated.
2) Two-way: import eBay orders into Odoo as sale orders, and push stock + price back to eBay so you don't oversell.
3) Listing/offer management (not just order import), since the native one let you publish from Odoo.
4) Carrier/tracking write-back so eBay marks items shipped automatically.
5) Confirm it supports the v18/19 you'll upgrade to, not just 17, so you don't have to migrate twice.
Migration approach that minimizes risk: install the third-party connector alongside on 17 first, point it at the same eBay account, verify SKU mapping and order import match what the native one was doing, THEN do the 18 upgrade with the native one already retired. That way you're never running blind.

does anyone know how we can download the old eBay api so someone can possibly update the app.
I submitted a ticket last week asking if that can be done. Haven’t heard back yet. I can post here when I get a response.
i just found out the reason the removed eBay app.
The reason is that we've discontinued the eBay integration. Our development team in Belgium decided to stop supporting it due to the number of users utilizing the integration.
we need to all contact our reps and have them put in request to reinstate the app. what is next the remove the inventory app?

I’m very upset about this change. One of the main reasons I chose Odoo was the eBay connector. I’m a very small business and about 20% of my sales are on eBay. I really hope they reconsider this decision. V18 should be an upgrade, NOT a downgrade!
Looking also for a Connector to ebay, when all bad, what alternative we have?
There are a few on the Appstore, although the ones we have tried are not great tbh..
I also just found out about it.
I am using it for four years now, but I have to be honest, it was not really good. Through all versions I had to apply some override in order to function correctly.
Let's see what I will do. I am a developer and I can create a replacement.
We have outside developers who were able to install the connector for Version 18. Odoo actually updated it for 18 and then abandoned it, so it's technically available for 18 somewhere. They were able to move our V17 instance over and we didn't even have to reconnect to the store to get it to work in production. I wish I had more details, but this is why we hire them!
