1. In addition to the CRM app, what other apps are needed for tracking won and lost opportunities?
Accounting, since lost opportunities incur a financial cost to your business. Marketing Automation, since tracking won and lost opportunities is an automatic process. Planning, since the data gathered by tracking won and lost opportunities can only be used for planning and forecasting purposes. Only the CRM app is required.
2. If an opportunity is marked as lost, can it be restored to its prior status?
Yes. Clicking the “Restore” button on a lost opportunity restores its AI-determined win probability and returns it to the stage it was at when originally marked lost. Yes. It can be returned to the stage it was at when it was originally marked lost, but the chatter and the AI-determined win probability will both be gone. Kind of. Clicking the “Restore” button opens a new opportunity that’s been pre-populated with information from the lost opportunity, but it is technically entirely new. No. There is no method for restoring lost opportunities. A new opportunity will need to be created and the old details manually entered.
3. Why is tracking won and lost opportunities in Odoo helpful for your business?
Odoo’s AI uses data from won and lost opportunities to predict which future opportunities may succeed or fail and why. The Accounting app can see expected revenue from won and lost opportunities and make more accurate economic forecasts when they’re properly configured. The Sales app can see which contacts have more won and lost opportunities associated with them, and prioritizes and deprioritizes them accordingly for your Sales Teams. The Email Marketing app can see which contacts have more won and lost opportunities associated with them, and automatically sends email blasts reminding potential customers to follow through on purchases.
