Bank statement and reconciliation

Question

Is the process kind of compulsory to do in Odoo? I mean if you book your credit and debit advises on a regular basis (based on your bank advises), why would you bother going through a bank reconciliation process. Actually quite complex at first look on Odoo

Reconciliation is verification that what you are posting is correct and it's a very common practice in most ERP systems.. On the other hand, like most ERP systems Odoo has post at payment validation and post at Bank reconciliation.. Choose the one that best fits your business.. They both got pros and cons.
Enable post at Payment validation in the Bank journal and it will skip the reconciliation process.

I think the reconciliation is to close the status of open item
