MTEL Turkey, part of the MTEL Group, operates in the Turkish market as a TV and telecommunications service provider, offering mobile and digital services. Within a multi-partner system architecture, Odoo ERP was selected to manage key internal operations related to subscription billing, inventory management, and invoicing.
The implementation addressed the following priorities:
1. Customized Subscription Billing Logic
The standard Odoo subscription module was adapted to meet MTEL Turkey's specific billing model - where invoices must be issued after the billing period, i.e., retroactively for the previous month, instead of in advance. This change ensures alignment with local business practices and improves customer satisfaction and financial compliance.
2. Multi-Partner System Architecture
Odoo functions as the core ERP backend, while external systems manage customer-facing processes (e.g. TV activation, customer onboarding, service provisioning). Smooth synchronization is achieved through connectors and structured data flows.
3. Inventory Management
Stock tracking and warehouse management for TV, stb boxes, and promotional materials - enabling better forecasting and fulfillment accuracy.
4. Billing and Invoicing
Automated generation of invoices from subscriptions, with full support for telecom-specific business logic and integration with financial systems.
The MTEL Turkey implementation is a lightweight but critical deployment, ensuring that subscription services and billing run smoothly within a broader ecosystem of platforms and vendors.
