IEI was originally founded in 1976 as a 100% Omani-owned company for construction and contracting. The company had started several civil engineering construction projects and then grew further with other business opportunities in operation and maintenance. Recently, the company has added additional activities and services to incorporate more engineering and energy disciplines.
