The challenge
The company's primary challenge was managing online orders, as most came through the WooCommerce platform and needed to be efficiently processed in Odoo. This required a seamless connection between the two systems to handle order and product synchronization effectively. The customer also needed a solution for multiple product barcodes, as the existing Odoo system did not support this functionality.

The company worked with dear digital to implement modules that integrated WooCommerce with Odoo, streamlining online order management. They also addressed the challenge of multiple barcodes by implementing a multi-barcode module, which allows users to add and search for products using more than one barcode. This enhanced the ability to search for products across various applications, including sales orders, point of sale (POS), and transfers.
The results
The implementation of the Odoo WooCommerce Integration module streamlined the transfer of online orders from WooCommerce to Odoo. Orders are now automatically created, confirmed, and have a draft invoice generated in Odoo once they reach the processing stage in WooCommerce. Additionally, the multi-barcode solution simplified product searching. The business now uses Odoo as its single source of truth for products, as new products are created in Odoo and then synchronized with WooCommerce, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
