JORDAN NURSES & MIDWIVES COUNCIL
The Jordanian Nursing Council is a government institution with administrative and financial independence, responsible for regulating the nursing profession in Jordan. Established in 2002 under temporary legislation, the council was later formalized by Law No. 53 in 2006. Her Royal Highness Princess Muna Al Hussein is the council’s esteemed chairperson, with its membership comprising the secretary-general and 14 representatives from healthcare and educational institutions, as well as community representatives.In 2012, the council became part of the government institutions restructuring process, leading to a significant transformation that ensured the alignment of all its systems and directives with governmental regulations.The council aims to enhance nursing services in the kingdom, safeguard the community, and improve public health by regulating and advancing the nursing profession both scientifically and practically.
