Founded in 1953 by the Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC), Bannu Woollen Mill Ltd. is the oldest woolen industry in Pakistan. After being acquired by the renowned Bibo Jee Group of Companies in 1964, it has continued to thrive under the leadership of the late Lt. Gen. (R) M. Habibullah Khan Khattak, a distinguished industrialist. The company has since played a pivotal role in the manufacturing sector, providing thousands of direct jobs and many more indirectly through related industries, all while contributing significantly to Pakistan's national economy and GDP.
The mill was transformed into a public limited company in 1992 and is listed on the Karachi and Islamabad Stock Exchanges. It is recognized for its strong commitment to quality, with its management system certified under ISO 9001-2000 standards by Moody International Certification Ltd. and accredited by UKAS (U.K.).
