AGHA KHAN HEALTH SERVICES
Aga Khan Health Services (AKHS) is a not-for-profit healthcare agency under the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), with over a century-long legacy of improving access to high-quality medical care across Central and South Asia, Central Asia, East Africa, and the Middle East. Through a robust “hub-and-spoke” model, AKHS operates 14 multidisciplinary hospitals and medical centres, alongside more than 375 health centres and clinics, facilitating an integrated network that handles over 6.5 million outpatient visits and approximately 135,000 admissions annually. With a focus on universal access, community outreach, and equity, the organization emphasizes preventive and curative services, capacity building, digital health, and partnerships that elevate local health systems. AKHS collaborates closely with sister agencies—such as the Aga Khan University, Foundation, Education Services, and Habitat Agency—to deliver coordinated, sustainable health solutions to underserved populations.
