To send report in xls format by email automatically

Question

I generate reports in xls format. Now I need to send them by email automatically. Unfortunately, I have not found a detailed description of how this can be done. I would appreciate any help in this matter.

Hi
You can send that report as an it. attachment record, and pass the attachment_ids along with the email.

Thanks Mily for the reply, but I'm using version 9 and I don't have the "mail.template" module. Is there any other way I can solve the problem?
