In Odoo 18 Online, I created a standard contact form using the website builder. When a visitor submits the form, I receive an email at the predefined address with all the information they entered. I would like the visitor to also receive a copy of this email (meaning: a copy of the information they filled in on the website form).

How can I configure this?

Hi,

    1) Edit your contact form:
        Go to your website contact page
        Click Edit in the top-right
        Click on the form to select it
        In the right sidebar, find the Form section
    2) Change the Action:
        Under "Action," change from "Send an Email" to "Create an Opportunity"
        You can edit each field, select the type to link to any field in lead/opportunity.
        This will create a CRM lead/opportunity when the form is submitted

3) Enable Developer Mode

    Go to Settings
    Scroll to the bottom and click Activate the developer mode

4) Create an Email Template

    Navigate to Settings > Technical > Email > Email Templates
    Click Create
    Configure the template:
        Name: Something like "Contact Form Confirmation"
        Applies to: Select Lead
        Settings -> To (Emails): Use ${object.email_from} and other mails you want
        Subject: For example, "Thank you for contacting us!"
        Body: Create your confirmation message. You can include the information they submitted using variables like:(just use the field name after object.)
            ${object.name} - Subject/name of the lead

5) Create an Automated Action

    Go to Settings > Technical > Automation > Automated Actions
    Click Create
    Configure the automation:
        Action Name: "Send confirmation to contact form visitor"
        Model: Select Lead
        Trigger: Select On Creation
        Apply on: Leave empty or add a domain filter if you want this to apply only to web form submissions (this is optional)
        Action To Do: Select Send Email
        Email Template: Select the template you created in Step 4
