I'm working setting up auto assign leads. I have the rules where I want them but I can't seem to sort out why it is converting them from leads to opportunities. I want them to stay as a lead and have the decision to convert them be made by the assigned salesperson.
How can I prevent auto assign leads from converting to opportunities?
You may ensure that 'Opportunity' check box in the related salesperson's Team configuration is not ticked and only 'Leads' checkbox is ticked.
Thank you for the suggestion. I tried leaving only leads selected for the sales team but it still converted it to an opportunity upon assignment.
