Lyon, June 1 – Odoo, the all-in-one suite of business management applications, has just opened its new subsidiary in France, in the city of Lyon. The Belgian tech giant aims to strengthen its presence in the French market and provide even better support to the country’s small, medium-sized, and large companies. The opening of this office comes just ahead of the entry into force of the legislation on electronic invoicing. At the same time, several hundred jobs could be created in the coming years.

On the morning of Monday, June 1, the doors of the Odoo France office opened for the first time to welcome the entire team at the start of this new adventure. The technology company has taken over 500 m² of office space in the La Part-Dieu district, a surface area that will increase as early as next October to reach 2 100 m². JLL was a key partner in finding the ideal location that met Odoo’s criteria.

Having supported French users from Belgium for many years, the business management software publisher has made the strategic decision to establish itself in the heart of France in order to further optimize customer support and strengthen its ecosystem of integration partners.

Seeing the excitement and enthusiasm of our talents as they move into the offices is, in a way, the culmination of months spent planning, preparing, and structuring the opening of this Odoo subsidiary in France. On a personal level, I am delighted to support the development of this new office and contribute to its success. From now on, the focus will be on growing our local team, guiding the new employees who will join us, but also and above all on offering our customers and partners even higher-quality, local support,” says Joséphine Vander Linden, Managing Director of Odoo France.

Considered for several years, the opening of this French subsidiary ultimately comes at a strategic moment, as new legislation on corporate invoicing and reporting will come into force in September 2026. This represents a key opportunity to offer entrepreneurs a 100% compliant management solution, registered as a state-approved platform, while also guiding them through the new standards that will now apply to the management of their business. In addition, around one hundred free training sessions have been scheduled in 2026 across major French cities to introduce Odoo and equip entrepreneurs with the tools they need for electronic invoicing.

Odoo has supported the transition required by the electronic invoicing reform across Europe, in line with the legislation and timeline implemented by each country. We therefore have all the necessary expertise to lead this change hand in hand with the entrepreneurs who trust us, and we can now do so on the front line thanks to this presence in Lyon,” explains Sébastien Bruyr, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Odoo.

Initially, the Lyon office will mainly host customer support teams, but the ambition is to recruit a variety of profiles to complete every department of the subsidiary. Recruitment is already in full swing, with around twenty new employees already hired and around fifty job openings still to be filled in 2026. The objective is to reach around one hundred employees by the end of the year, and to continue increasing headcount to several hundred talents within five years. To support the growth of this office and train the new employees, an experienced team of 15 employees is relocating from Belgium to France

. Under the leadership of Joséphine Vander Linden, Managing Director, and with the energy of the talented team already in place, the ambition is to lay solid foundations to firmly establish Odoo’s French subsidiary for the long term.
