Give your customers a treat with Loyalty Programs

Retain and win customers using rewarding incentives

Getting people all the way through the process of buying something from you is one big thing, but actually getting them to do it over and over again is yet another story. Even if they were perfectly satisfied with you, some customers will always go check your competitors to get the best offer.

There are two ways to compete with them: you can either make sure you are always and at any cost cheaper than them while still offering the same level of service - but that is only possible if you have a very high flow of sales. The other way, much easier and effective, is to use incentives to push your customers towards you. In other words, a loyalty program. It is a way to reward your customers for using your services. The bonus is, you will even be able to learn more about your customers' habits and offer them yet a better service!

We've now integrated in our Point Of Sale System a Loyalty Program function so you can manage the rewarding system on the spot, and offer your customers a great service.

Loyalty programs work well if they are well thought, though.

Which means there are some tricks to reward your customers the best way. Here is a list of the most important ones:

A good reward

First of all, the reward has to be interesting and of a perceived value that is up to the effort taken by your customers. Offering something that is perceived as cheap or useless will risk getting the opposite effect : your customers will feel that you underestimate the value of their spendings and will feel laid down.

Odoo's loyalty program works with points. You can give points for the amount spent, point for each order, or points for each product purchased. You can even give points for all of them together. Then, you can setup a reward which can be a discount, a gift item, or a resale.

You can also setup some rules fro the attribution of points, like more points coming from specific products or categories, and cumulate them.

Show them the way

Studies have showed that people are more likely to try and reach the 'bonus' when a part of the reward process is already taken. For instance, if you offer a rewarding card with a discount at the 10th visit, and you actually fill the first one on their first purchase, people are more likely to try and fill the remaining 9 steps than if they have to start from the beginning and fill in the whole 10.
