Hello there,
I am currently migrating a database from Odoo V10 Enterprise to Odoo V17, and the process has been extremely time-consuming. Due to the database size exceeding 10GB, I am using the command line for migration, as suggested by Odoo.
However, the migration process is linear and repetitive. If an error occurs, I must update the data, resubmit the database, and restart the migration from the beginning instead of resuming from where the process stopped.
Based on the logs, the migration from V11 to V13 completed successfully but took approximately 12 hours. Unfortunately, the process encountered an error during the migration to V14. Additionally, the script takes around 7 hours to generate the valuation layer from the stock move during the V13 migration, significantly slowing the overall process.
I have already raised this issue in ticket #4319256, linked to our enterprise key, but have not received adequate support.
Could you please advise if there is a way to:
- Resume the migration process from V14 if an error occurs, instead of restarting from the beginning.
- Optimize or speed up the script, particularly for time-intensive steps like generating valuation layers.
Your assistance in expediting this process would be greatly appreciated.
