Hello everyone,

I need help to correctly import my customers and vendors into Contacts.

I have an external Excel table with detailed data for all my partners (around 2000 records: both customers and suppliers). The structure and column names of my file are different from the default Odoo import template that I downloaded from Contacts before importing.

What I tried so far:

1. I created a supplier contact in Odoo and configured it as a vendor, hoping that if I export the contacts afterwards, the export file would contain the column headers I need.

2. However, the exported file still has the same columns as before, it did not change according to my configuration.

3. I also created a custom radio button field with three options: Customer / Vendor / Both.

   • This field is visible in the Contacts list view.

   • But it does not appear in the import/export template, so I cannot set it when importing.

I am desperate because I cannot enter ~2000 customers and suppliers manually.

My questions:

• How can I properly import my own Excel table with a different column structure into Odoo Contacts?

• How can I include my custom radio button field (Customer / Vendor / Both) in the import, so it is available as a column that I can map?
