You can use price list to automatic discount added on specific product
Step 1 : Go to point of sale -> configuration -> settings and find Pricing header and enable Multiple Product Prices
Step 2 : Select second option Price computed from formulas (discounts, margins, roundings)
Step 3 : click on pricelist link to list the all the pricelist by default you can see only public pricelist
Step 4 : Click to open public pricelist
Step 5 : Go to Pricelist Items table and add line and you can configure default discount type as fixed, Percentage,Formula
Now you can see automatically while selecting the product to pos cart will be discount price will be show

But,the indicated method is correct for assigning defined prices based on clients or other criteria. However, all customers with stores will tell you the same thing: they want to see the discount they received. As of now, in Odoo 17, it is not possible to display this as a "discount," which causes many problems.
It is indeed possible to give a 50% discount on a product, but the customer will not know about it. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a report on the POS, sales, and invoice so that the customer can be informed.
