Hi, I'm using Odoo 17 Online with Studio.

We're an IT company selling hardware, software and services.

Some of these are recurring (software & services).

For every sales order that is confirmed, we want this to generate a purchase order for EACH product in the quote.

Now it only generates a PO for the Hardware items, not for the software & services.

I already tried to make my software a "Storable product" as well, but that didn't change anything.

I did notice that by making my hardware product (Storable product) recurring, that it stopped creating a PO for that item as well. So it seems that no PO's are created for recurring products?

How can I change this, please?

Hi Nico,

Why do you need a purchase order for the service you provide? Are you outsourcing services from another supplier?

I am trying to understand the process before providing an answer.

Hi Marc, sorry for the late reply, I got an error message when I replied to the email.

We try to replicate our existing way of working as much as possible which is a PO for all product lines. And indeed, some services are outsourced. 

But I think we found a solution by enabling "Subcontract Service" under the Purchase tab of the software & services products.
