I have seen the maintenance & repair module and it seems related to internal maintenance with setting up your own technicians and so on.
Is there a solution for external maintenance where I send my product to another company and they fix it? I want to mainly track that it is currently not in my inventory and then have history that it was repair at [specific date]

There is no such options in default of Odoo. You may have to do the customization for that. Or as an alternative, you can create another Maintenance team "Outside or Outsourced" and assign the team when you are giving for the repair. You can use the Log Note feature to track the Date they have done the repair on that Equipment record itself.

Yes, on the Product Information tab, you can enter the serial number of the product and track it.
Thank you for the suggestion but this does not track the product specifically correct? I was looking more for a solution like that where the camera would be taken out of inventory so there is not option for me to accidently rent it to a customer.
