How to update component quantity in BOM (Ver15)

Question

I have tried several ways of exporting & importing (inc. the external id) to update the component level in the bill of materials but always get duplicate lines of components. I cannot figure out how I can do this & end up with the original component line but with an amended quantity. Anyone?

you must export not only the BOM external id but also components lines external ids. did you do it and still get the same described result ?

Hello,
You also need to export the BoM Line external id. If you forgot to export line external id then it duplicate the lines.
You have to export two external id.
1) BoM external id
2) BoM Lines external id
