The field is Extra Variant Images / Image​

(In Odoo 16) Try Inventory>Products>Product Variants.

Then there should be listes all variants you have created. If you choose one from the list, a normal product template tab should open indicating, that this is a variant (little pill under product name), there you can edit the picture to show the variant.

If someone knows, how to show all variants as uniquie products in the ecommerce website module, please enlighten me! For now only the "main product" is showing. Then you have to click on the product and you will see its variants. I want all variants for the user to be visible from the beginning.

First of all export the data by enabling (import-compatible export) option, then select the field (Name, Image). Then you will get the excel file with corresponding ID of selected product variants. Then on the Image column, you can paste the image URl. Finally you can import the same file. Please try it, hopefully you can do it.

I can not find the appropriate field for extra image for variante, 

when i try to upload using variante image ids it doesn't work

First you need to export the image (Excel) for all the variants you want to upload their images. And edit the "image variant" column with the image link.
