Lionel entered the Odoo-sphere in January 2018 as a Project Manager for an Odoo partner in Indonesia, then in Vietnam. He joined Odoo Hong Kong early 2019 as a Project Leader, then started leading a team a year later. During his time in Hong Kong, he saw Odoo grow from 35 to over 200 employees, along with the company going through various phases of growth. Early 2023, he helped opening the Australian office as Head of Services. Down under, he oversees the recruitment of Project Leaders, facilitates the implementation of Odoo in the market and rapidly improves the product localisation in the ANZ region.
Talk description
Since the opening of our office on the Gold Coast in January 2023, Odoo has made major progress on its localisation for the local markets. Mainly, we will discuss Payroll and Accounting.
In this talk, we will first discuss the tremendous progress that has been made in Payroll: Single Touch Payroll and SuperStream compliance, the new payroll onboarding, functional flows, new features and security requirements.
Accounting-wise, we will discuss SBR compliance, different types of BAS, and improvements made to BAS closing.
Finally, we discuss the market-winner requirements, such as release of the Tyro PoS terminal integration, and improvements to our Starshipit integration.
