In order to install your own developed module on another system, the basic things need to be the same:

• Same version (6.0, 6.1 or 7.0)
• Same modules must be available (not only your module, but also other modules your module is depending on
• Access to that server (either you or someone else, in the last case, you have to write down exactly what to place where and when to click where)

You also might have to run scripts to setup/check convert fields before or after installation of your module, depending on what it is doing, and how dirty the client system is.
