How to Dropship Kits

Question

In Odoo V16 (or any following version) is it possible to dropship a kit as a finished product?
Clarifications:
KIT-1 is a sellable product and can currently be set to Can be Sold and Can be Purchased  Current process:

Enter Sales Order for KIT-1 (composed of COMP-1 and COMP-2) Set KIT-1 route to Dropship When I confirm the sales order, The Purchase order is for COMP-1 and COMP-2 and NOT KIT-1  I would expect the KIT-1 to show on the purchase order since the item "Can be Purchased"

That's how kits are supposed to work. It seems like you shouldn't be using kits in this case: if you want the supplier to deliver the finished product, define it as a normal BoM (it won't be used because you are not manufacturing it, but you have a record of the components).
