How can we customize to have 2 trees in single screen i.e. 50% screen space is used by treeA and another 50% by Treeb?

Create two groups next to each other, each with colspan=2. Put one tree view in each group. This way you can create 2 trees next to each other. As for the 50% of the screen width, AFAIK, we do not have full control of it.
