We have 2 warehouses for our company (let me name them as A and B), and they are working well. Now we need to create the 3rd one for the company (name it as C). One of our colleagues created one warehouse for this location last year, but we encountered some problems and archived this warehouse (C) at that time. I am thinking to activate and reuse this warehouse. and I find some problem of this warehouse again:
Problem 1: After I activated the previous warehouse (C), I found the location of Inventory A changed to the location of C automatically, which means the location of B and C are exactly the same now.
If I Edit and change the location of A back to its location, then the location of C will change simultaneously (the same as A).
after I carefully compared the locations list in the system, I found that there isn't a view type of location for warehouse A. So I create a view type location of warehouse A, and then move the location of A to that warehouse.(I mean, edit the original location of A, and set the parent location to the newly created view type location of Warehouse A).
Then, the warehouse, location of 3 warehouses seems to be normal, and I can find the right products and quantity for each warehouse and location in the [Report]. But, when I try to create a sales order, then I find that there are not enough items in the inventory. when I check the details of each product in inventory, I found the on-hand number of all products in warehouse A is ZERO.
Questions:
1, why does the on-hand number of those products in Warehouse A change to ZERO;
2, How can I resolve this problem and recover the right on-hand number for warehouse A?

The reason why Qty on Hand is because you configured the Location Type to "View" please note that "View" cannot hold product stock directly like other locations, hence why it is coming as 0.
I recommend you change the location back to "Internal" or something similar.
As for your other issue, I am unsure of why that behaviour is occurring without seeing your database, but do you have one of the Warehouses setup to Resupply? Maybe an odd connection is occurring because of that or from a third party module you have.

The location where I put the products actually is an "internal location", not a "view" type. but when I create the location, we need to select a parent location, so I create a View type location of that warehouse and then put the real location under it as a child location. and only with this, I can set the location under the warehouse where it should be.
I guess, when we create a warehouse, the system will automatically create a "view" type location with the same name as the "short name" of the warehouse. and then, we will be able to select this view type location as the parent location when we create the real location for this warehouse.
My problem is: I can't find the view type parent location when I try to put the real location of this warehouse. so I manually create a view type location of this warehouse and make it the parent location of the final, real location.
I don't know whether I have made it clear.
for example:
there is a warehouse A, I want to put the location LOC1 under warehouse A. In the location list, it should look like: A/LOC1
but when I try to creat or edit the LOC1 to be the child location of A, I can't find the option of A in the drop box, and I can't find it in the detail full list of location either. So I create a "view" type location of A, and then go back to edit LOC1, and I can select the warehouse A as the parent location now. and finally, the location look like: A/LOC1.

Another conflict thing:
When I check the detail of the product, the number of on-hand is 0, but when I click this cell and open the detail of on-hand information, I found the record and number is right, it has 20 pieces there. But why it shows zero on-hand, and I can't create sale order on it; Even worse, all products on the website is unavailable now, our clients can't put order online.
