Many times people don't use Odoo correctly, and make a new quotation while there exists an opportunity, but not using that opportunity as a starting point for the quotation. The result is that the opportunity remains an orphan, without quotation. How can I connect them together?

On the sale order other info tab you can link an opportunity to the sale order
Hi Jürgen, as answered by Jaideep, you can link using the "Opportunity" field. However, this field, for some unknown reason, requires "extra rights" which require the activation of developer mode and it has nothing to do with the Odoo version -> Developer Mode
Another solution would be to remove this access rights from the field and make them visible according to needs.
That’s correct, V17 the field is visible in lower versions you would need to enable developer mode to view the field

Unfortunately, in the tracking, there is no opportunity in our Odoo. Is that a version issue? We have version 16.
