Hi how can I manage my members and clients in Helpdesk?

I can not find any list where I can add details like phone number, email or address for them?

Is this part of a different module? If so can it be done only in Helpdesk? I just need this one module, but without these features it is basically unusable.

Hi,

customers and team members inside the helpdesk are associated with the contacts module. You can view the customer and assigned to info by clicking this button in both the fields inside ticket.

In the absence of the contacts app, alternate could be to create a menu item for customers as well.

Settings > Technical > Menu Items

Create a new menu, with action " ir.actions.act_windows" with action name 'Customers', provide the menu name and Parent menu and assign the group which need access to the menu

Refresh the browser and this would have created a new menu item


You can view individual customer records and provide access to portal using the gear icon

Thank you Savya, but I plan on using just the free version with one module - Helpdesk. So I do not have acces to any other modules. Does it mean that the Helpdesk module by itself is basically unusable? Or usable but very limited?

To manage contact details, you need to create contacts in the Contacts module. Here's how:

* Go to the "Contacts" module.
* Create or edit contacts with their relevant information like name, phone number, email, and address.

In Odoo's Helpdesk module, there is a way to manage your members and clients along with their contact details such as phone numbers, email addresses, and addresses. However, it might not be immediately obvious where to find this information.
