In Odoo V17 I'm looking for a way to track the physical location of my products as they go through the manufacturing operations. I find this necessary due to the time between each WC's operation isn't always immediate and therefor the parts will sit at a physical location until the next operation is ready to begin. I'm hoping this example that I provide will help get my question answered.
I need to make Product A. Product A starts at WC1 for Op01, when Op01 is completed I need to see where the parts are physically located so the operator at WC2 can locate the parts and start Op02, this process would continue through the production cycle.
Once at the end of the production cycle I would then like for either a prompt to be displayed or find some sort of way for the last operator to select where they put the parts.
I understand there's a selection field "Finished Product Locations" on the MO while it's in the draft state however that option isn't always viable. It's not viable because at the creation of the MO the locations of where operators would put the parts could be unavailable or there may not be capacity at that exact moment for the parts to be stored.
