for sure you're not the only wanting this feature. Unfortunately it's not yet possible in the standard version and requires customization of at least user groups access rights. As it's a common requirement, maybe with questions here on /forum and also on /support, this requirement to have more "access modes" should be met out of the box soon.

I am stunned that Odoo does not manage Project / Gantt properly. It seems that they only think about basic Kanban view when they develop functionnalities. What a pity ...

Thanks for your response. We are not looking at adding customers as collaborators in edit mode on our projects. We would like to share the project gantt view in a simple way (in read mode, not edit) to external parties, or at least being able to export it in excel / pdf.
