Unable to set parent to a company

Question

What are the steps to follow to reproduce your issue?

1. Navigate to Home > Settings > Users & Company (Menu) > Companies
2. List of companies: Company A, Company B...
3. Creation of company C -> OK
4. On the Company A form: Parent company = Company C

What is the current behavior you are observing?
1. The company Company A has as parent Company C
2. Company C has as a new branch Company A

What would be the expected behavior in this case?
1. Multi-company available with: Company A, Company B a

If you need to define different charts of accounts for each company, creating a branch company might not meet your requirements. In this case, you may need to consider alternative approaches or customization within Odoo to achieve your desired setup.

You have to Create a Branch Company from Parent Company,
Or
Create Parent company first and create new company with Parent company selection,
Note: If you create two different companies and want to make parent it not possible!!!
