is it possible to create groups of contacts (eg. customers, vendors, europe etc.) and restrict access to this groups?

Hi!
Yes, it is possible to create new groups of contacts, but for the examples you put, they already exist customers, vendors, and more. The not-so-good part about creating a new group is the links we have to make, but you can create more if you use the developer mode and go to settings-users and companies- groups
