I have problem in the purchase order when i have a new product order and validate it, it is not automatically added to the quantity on hand, what i notice purchase order does work but the quantity only shows in the "Purchased" smart icon only not added to quantity on hand is there method i missed or i need to take action?


-my odoo version: 19.0

Hi,

In Odoo, confirming and validating a Purchase Order alone does not update the quantity on hand. The PO only creates a receipt (incoming shipment) in the Inventory module. Quantity on hand only updates when that receipt is validated.
The "Purchased" smart button you're seeing shows the quantity that has been ordered, not received. Quantity on hand reflects only physically received and validated stock.

The Steps You're Missing

    Confirm the Purchase Order
    Click the Receipt smart button (top of the PO)
    On the receipt, either:
        Click Validate directly (if you don't need to set serial/lot numbers), or
        Manually set the Done quantities, then validate

Quantity on Hand will update only after this step.
