I am discontinuing my Odoo 9. I would still love to back up my information before I do that. Is there a general guide to what I should do?

Can you just clarify how I can test it?
Also what is JE?
1) Take Database Backup and Test it
2) If You are not Continuing Odoo take JE, Reports which required in excel too
