Is there any other option to hide the field based on groups using Studio?

Yes, depends which version.
In Odoo 19 you can either allow or forbid visibility for selected groups:
In earlier versions it may only allow one of those options.
EDIT: If you interested in the discount field, there is already a (technical) access group for that:
Hi,
In the studio mode after selecting the field and scroll down the left side bar, You can see the
'Allow visibility to groups' option, there You can choose the groups.
