I let my team member tried to login to our self-hosted Odoo 18 Enterprise, but the problem is that the error "Forbidden Access to unauthorized or invalid companies." shows up. I tried to access the link to our login page and the same error shows up. The error might have something to do with companies, but I can't pinpoint where exactly. I need help as to what have caused this error and possible solution. Thanks.

Thanks for the replies and I finally figured it out.

I found out that the login page use the default website page we initially created in website module. That website is link to a company that was archived. 

I unarchived it in Settings >> User&Companies >> Companies. In order to show up all archived company you have to use custom filter. Then select that archived company, press the Actions button, and select unarchived. Then this solved my problem.

This error occurs when the user is not assigned to any valid company in Odoo. Check the user settings and ensure they are linked to an active company under Settings > Users & Companies > Users.

Resolving 403 Forbidden Errors in Multi-Company Odoo Websites
Issue: Website shows "403 Forbidden" because the Public User lacks access to the website's assigned company.

Solution:

  1. Identify Company: Go to Website > Configuration > Settings and check which Company is linked to the problematic website.

  2. Update Public User: Go to Settings > Users (filter for Archived to find Public User / ID 4).

  3. Grant Access: In the Allowed Companies list, ensure the website's company is checked.

Rule: The Public User must have access to all companies that are linked to a website.
