Why the Odoo ORM is not like other ORMs
Raphael ColletDone
Chrysanthe joined Odoo early 2023 as part of the R&D designers team after completing a bachelor degree at the intersection of visual design and front-end development. He recently worked on the dark-mode for the back-end user interface and took that opportunity to deep dive into the architecture of Odoo CSS files which became his playground.
Over the past years, dark-mode popularity has been exploding. Mix between practical benefits and sleek aesthetic, it became a standard feature across many products. In this context, supporting only light mode can generate frustration to the user and even sometimes make him exit.
In this 30 minute talk, we will discuss how to implement dark-mode to your module with ease, using only what is already included within Odoo. I will also share with you tips, things to avoid and things to keep in mind, based on my experience with the dark-mode of Odoo.
By the end of this talk, you will know everything to implement dark-mode to your own module and will be ready to take your module to the next level.
