I want to add a tag to the calendar view but I don't know how I can override the view.rng file properly. Is it possible?

Hello,
You can not natively extends a rng file with OpenERP. You may redefine the _relaxng method of ir.ui.view model too look for your own rng file or extend the current one.
I do not understand the second part of your question. Can you reformulate it please.
