Enterprise Architect with international sales and management experience, he has gained some experience in AI and IT development over the years in large companies and in a range of different industries.
Robin is today combining the roles of Enterprise Architect and manager of the IT Data and Applications team at Buildwise, a R&D company for the Construction Industry.
Master Data Management (MDM) is about managing a single source of truth for business entities. For example a product catalogue, customer information (companies, contacts,…). Master Data records are typically managed in one Enterprise Application and replicated across the other business applications.
If Odoo is your single ERP, there is no need for Master Data Management as all the data you need is contained within Odoo. The need for MDM will become apparent when multiple Enterprise Systems will have to share data sets.
In this talk, we will explore the different roles that Odoo can play in a Master Data Management process, either being itself a Master Data source/sink or a target.
We will have a look at the different options that exist when Odoo must integrate with these external systems and will share our experience at Buildwise in exchanging master customer data with Odoo.
