To accurately track the total cost of each vehicle in Odoo, treat every vehicle as a storable product with its own product record. Record the purchase cost through a Purchase Order or Vendor Bill, ensuring the vehicle is received into inventory. For repairs and maintenance, enter the expenses via Vendor Bills or the Expenses module and link them to the vehicle using analytic accounts to capture additional costs. When using spare parts from inventory, either create a Manufacturing Order or an Inventory Transfer that consumes the parts and associates their cost with the vehicle, or allocate their cost via the vehicle’s analytic account. This way, Odoo can calculate the total vehicle cost as the sum of purchase price, repair and maintenance expenses, and spare parts used. Using modules like Inventory, Accounting, Analytic Accounting, and optionally Manufacturing or Studio, you can maintain precise cost tracking for each vehicle, ensuring the total cost is always up to date.
