Saffron Foodies, a famous restaurant brand with six branches, sought to modernize its multi-branch operations by moving away from manual workflows toward a fully integrated digital ecosystem. The primary objective was to achieve seamless automation across the entire guest experience from the moment an order is placed on a tablet to the final posting of financial records. By implementing a tailored Odoo solution, we unified their Point of Sale (POS), Inventory, and Accounting modules into a single, high-performance platform.

Enhanced Front-of-House & Financial Precision

Our implementation revolutionized the dining experience by automating order routing and billing through the Odoo POS module.

  • Tablet Ordering: Orders placed on tablets automatically trigger Kitchen Order Tickets (KOTs) to specific prep stations such as the bakery or grill.

  • Tax Compliance: Customized pre-invoices and final bills clearly display multiple tax rates (5% and 16%) with detailed breakdowns.

  • Financial Automation: At the close of each session, Odoo automatically posts accounting entries, ensuring real-time accuracy without manual intervention.

This POS setup not only streamlined customer interactions but also gave management precise visibility into operational performance across all six branches.

Intelligent Inventory & Inter-Company Logistics

To manage the complexities of multiple branches and a central warehouse, we deployed an advanced inter-company workflow:

  • Automatic Requisitions: Branches generate requisitions that instantly translate into Sales Orders at the main store.

  • Dynamic Pricing: Automated rules update prices in real time using FIFO or AVCO costing methods.

  • Granular Cost Tracking: Production locations were created for each section to monitor inventory transfers. Costs are automatically allocated when items move to a section, and deducted when returned.

Scalable Control & Strategic Insights

Beyond automation, the solution provided Saffron Foodies with robust operational controls and deep visibility into performance:

  • Customized Access Rights: Restricted cancellations and payment validations to authorized managers and cashiers.

  • Automated Procurement: A streamlined “PO-to-Bill” workflow automated vendor notifications and inventory validation upon receipt.

  • Advanced Reporting: Tailored dashboards delivered daily insights into sales by order type, category, employee, and payment method.

  • Visual Management: Replicated the real-world table plan layout in Odoo to improve floor management and guest seating.
