Hello,


Could you please help me with this case - I have thousands of products and variants. All of them are in more than 200 categories and subcategories. I want to create a specific price list for products per vendor. For example - products that are with defined Vendor A to have 20% discount and products from Vendor B - 25% discount. 

Now I see only 2 options:

  1. Pricelist per product - but I have tjhousands of products and this lot of work. Also - when create a new product, should not forget to assign a pricelist.
  2. Pricelist per category - this is also not working, becuase i have products from different vendors in 1 category.

Even if decide to create pricelist per product and to do this whole day, there is another problem. I have to do this also for purchase prices, for example vendor is giving me 40% from his SRP.Or - if I have different price levels - 20, 23, 25% discounts for products from Vendor A, I need to make x3 pricelist for all thousands products. I think that this is siriouse limitation in ODOO.

So my question is - how to solve above case, does anyone did this or is there any third-party app that can do it? Thank you in advance.

This requirement involves deeper customization. I searched for a third-party app, but as far as I know, none are available for this functionality.
You may need to contact an Odoo Partner to get it customized.

Solution:
 Add vendor filter to pricelist rules:
  1. Add field (models/product_pricelist.py):
  class PricelistItem(models.Model):
      _inherit = 'product.pricelist.item'

      vendor_id = fields.Many2one('res.partner', string='Vendor', domain=[('supplier_rank', '>', 0)])

  2. Override price computation:
      def _is_applicable_for(self, product, qty_in_product_uom):
          res = super()._is_applicable_for(product, qty_in_product_uom)
          if res and self.vendor_id:
              sellers = product.seller_ids.mapped('partner_id')
              if self.vendor_id not in sellers:
                  return False
          return res

  3. Add to view:
  <field name="categ_id" position="after">
      <field name="vendor_id"/>
  </field>

Usage:
  Create pricelist rule:
  - Vendor: Vendor A
  - Discount: 20%
  - Apply on: All Products

New products with Vendor A automatically get 20% discount. No manual assignment needed.
