صدر أمر خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك فهد بن عبد العزيز _ رحمه الله _ بإنشـاء مـركـز المـلك عبـد العزيـز للحوار الوطنـي بالأمر الملكــي رقم 339/م و بـتـاريـخ 24/5/1424 هـ .

إننا مجتمع مسلم يجمعنا الاعتصام بحبل الله، والتمسك بكتابه وسنة نبيه صلى الله عليه وسلم عقيدة وشريعة ومنهجاً، الشريعة الإسلامية تقوم على الحق والعدل والتسامح ونبذ أسباب الفرقة، ولذلك فإن الجميع يدرك أهمية الوحدة الوطنية ونبذ كل أسباب الانقسام وشق الصف، والمساس باللحمة الوطنية، فالمواطنون سواء أمام الحقوق والالتزامات والواجبات.

We are a Muslim society united by holding fast to the bond of Allah, and adhering to his book and the Sunnah of his Prophet, peace be upon him, doctrine, Sharia and approach. Islamic Sharia is based on right, justice, tolerance and rejection of the causes of division. Therefore, everyone recognizes the importance of national unity and rejection of all causes of discord and division, and prejudice to national cohesion. Citizens are equal before rights, obligations and duties.
